Procedure For Pilot Training
The entire pilot training course is divided into two parts, both
having equal importance viz. (1) Theoretical (Ground) Training and
(2) Practical (Flight) Training. The authority requires a candidate
to pass a written examination in various Aeronautical / Technical
subjects and a practical flight-test in both parts respectively.
To fulfill the requirements of passing the written examination and
flight test, the candidate is required to undergo training either
in India or abroad.
In order to qualify as a professional pilot, a prospective candidate
is required to undergo training in two parts as explained earlier
in four different stages and obtain four different pilots licenses
one after the other as follows :
1. Student Pilots License (SPL) [Theory Course]
2. Radio Telephony (Restricted) / Flight Radio Telephone Operator
