BASIC AEROMODELLING COURSE
This is very noble hobby. Pursuing this hobby opens the creative
mind of child to choose a flying career like Aeronautical Engineer
or Flight Engineer or Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. In the western
countries, especially Europe, it is a compulsory curriculum of the
school activity. This hobby teaches fundamental of aerodynamics,
Principle of Flight, Weight and Balance, External and Internal Parts
of Airplane and its engine. This is also known as MODEL ENGINEERING.
Student develops interest towards an aviation career while practicing
this hobby, which ultimately help him/her to choose a most exciting
and rewarding career.
At the end of the course, the Club will take final exam. On passing
exam, student will be issued Certificate of Achievement.
BASIC AEROMODELLING COURSE
The course will consists of 10 sessions of 3 hours duration. The
student will have to construct a chuck-catapult glider and a 80
Cms to line glider during the course. The course will also consists
of lectures on topics such as principles of flight, aeromodelling
tools and materials, trimming and flying of models, model engines
and introduction to remote control models and systems. On completion
of the classroom program there will be a session to trim and fly
the models constructed during the course.
The equipment and tools required to be used during the course are
as follows
- A 2 Ft. x 2 Ft. 12mm thick soft board (this is to cut from Jolly
soft board that is available in sheet form)
- A very small hammer
- A small combination pliar, A box of paper pins
- A 6" junior saw
- A paper cutter
- small plastic - metal containers for water and cellulose lacquer
- 2 Nos. 1\4 " size hand drill machine with 3mm size drill
bits for each classroom.
ELIGIBILITY:
(a) Age :- Minimum 10 years completed, Maximum: No Limit.
(b) Sex : No Sex Bar, any body or girl student can join.
(c) Recommended Min. Educational Qualification :- Students of 6th
to 12th standards of English Medium Schools will be considered.
