RADIO TELEPHONY (R) LICENCE
FLIGHT RADIO TELEPHONE OPERATOR LICENCE COURSE
This is a professional course of international standards as per
the general guidelines prescribed under international radio regulations
applicable to the aeronautical mobile service. Those who qualify
by securing requisite standards of performance are granted the certificate
/ license. Holder of such certificate / licenses are eligible to
seek employment in companies / organizations engaged in the field
of Civil Aviation. Such person is known as "Aeronautical Radio
Communication Officer"
Aeronautical Radio Communication Officer is an individual who communicates
from Air Traffic Control or Base Station to airplanes or to Base
Stations. Such person generally works for communication duties on
ground.
In India, the license is granted by the W.P.C. Wing, Department
of Telecommunications, and Ministry of Communications, Government
of India. Certificate of Proficiency radio Telephony (R) Licence
Course is designed as per Syllabus prescribed under No. 8 Part B,
Annexure II of Indian Wireless Telegraphy Commercial Radio Operator's
Certificate of Proficiency& License to operate Wireless Telegraphy,
Rules 1954 of Ministry of Communication, Government of India and
Flight Radio Telephone Licence (R) course is designed as per syllabus
prescribed under Aeronautical Information Service Circular vide
No. 02/1992 dated 18th March, 1992 issued Director General of Civil
Aviation, Civil Aviation Department, Government of India.
On completion of this course, students need to appear for the Examination
conducted by Ministry of Communication, Government of India, New
Delhi. On passing examination, Government of India will issue Radio
Telephony (R) Licence.
This course also open for employee of Airlines, Aviation Companies
to upgrade and update their knowledge of the required subject that
will help them in future prospects. This course is especially helpful
to Flight Dispatchers, Aircraft Maintenance Engineers maintaining
radios and avionics, etc. This course is part of the Commercial
Pilot's License curriculum. This course is already included in Indian
Commercial Pilot's License Course, prospective candidate for pilot;s
course is not required to do it separately.
Employment Opportunities:
Student completing this course and on passing examination and acquiring
RT (R) License issued by wireless Planning & Co-Ordination Wing,
Ministry of Communication, Government of India, can seek employment
in the various Indian as well as Foreign Airlines, Airport authorities,
Aviation Companies, Oil rigs etc. as Aeronautical Radio Communication
Officer
ELIGIBILITY:
(a) Age :- Minimum 17 years, Maximum: No limit
(b) Sex : No sex bar, any male or female candidate can apply.
(c) Educational Qualification :- S.S.C. Passed.
Duration : 04 Weeks for Regular batch.
Tuesday to Sunday (3 hours per day)
